Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Employees reside in varied accommodation options in and around the district of Orange with the surrounding area’s occupied by wineries, stone fruit orchards, farming and national parks.

Who we’re looking for
Reporting to the Specialist – Planning & Improvement, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will ensure that planning and scheduling activities for Cadia Valley Operations mobile fleet are completed in line with the Maintenance operating systems and Maintenance Business Process.
You will be part of a team building strong organisational health within the Fleet Maintenance department with a focus on personal motivation, work environment and accountability.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of fundamental maintenance techniques, processes and procedures to manage Cadia Valley Mobile Fleet.
- Work with the execution teams to plan and schedule work tasks in a safe and executable manner that identifies and manages Major Hazards and Critical Controls.
- Ensure detailed understanding of the Maintenance MOS and Maintenance Business Process.
- Identify and escalate SAP ERP improvement opportunities that can be escalated through the Functional Review Group
- Undertake detailed job planning that incorporates, materials, labour and documentation that supports safe and efficient execution (SWI’s, Confined Space & OCCC’s)
- Engage with the execution teams to develop high quality work orders and detailed schedules that align with how the work is intended to be executed.
- Implement standard work through the identification and creation of task lists for repetitive corrective tasks.
- Knowledge of the budget for your area and how this aligns with the work strategies that are planned for execution during the financial period.
The ideal candidate will have a strong safety and ethical focus and will have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also possess the following:
- Qualified Tradesperson – Mechanical discipline or Cert IV in Maintenance Management
- Demonstrated maintenance planning experience– highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in a mining maintenance environment.
- Sound understanding of fleet equipment and condition monitoring requirements.
- High level proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word
- Sound knowledge and experience of Planning & Scheduling in SAP
