Maintenance Superintendent - CHPP and Surface Operations

About The Role
As the Maintenance Coordinator – CHPP & Surface Operations you will be accountable for the co-ordination and management of the planned maintenance programme for CHPP & Surface Operations by providing planning, control systems and the implementation of policies and strategies for the management of assets and equipment. You will oversee a team of four direct reports and ensure the operation of a proficient, cohesive team. 

What You’ll Bring
With vast experience in maintenance execution in complex environments, you will bring your extensive experience combined with your ability to mentor and coach people effectively.  

• Advanced Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) as recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Maintenance experience in the coal mining industry (desirable)
• Experience in Coal Handling Plants (desirable)
• Track record in driving continuous improvement
• High level of planning and problem-solving ability
• Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Management of employees, contractors and OEM’s (Min 5 years)
• Strong commitment to a safety culture
• Ability to be a role-model and lead by example
• Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines
