ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position that is DIDO daily, from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.  

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a Maintenance crew within an operation area or in a specialized discipline over the entire operation and ensure maintenance activities are safely executed against schedules, plans, and specified standards. 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Lead a maintenance execution team and promote operating discipline related to the SAP work management processes
• Review the plan for the next day and commit to the next day’s work, rescheduling what will not be achieved
• Provide day-to-day leadership, expertise and direction to a Maintenance Execution team within an operation area
• Ensure timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval for the work management planning process.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

• Significant experience at supervisory level with a demonstrated capability to successfully lead a team, influence others and performance manage a team
• Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in a maintenance area and detailed knowledge of procedures related to the operation
• Ability to follow safety and operating procedures, handle unit emergencies and communicate appropriately
• Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels and disciplines

Qualifications for this position are:  

• Currently holds or can be appointed a Section 44 General Appointment
• Holds a recognised trade qualification or possess’ significant supervisory experience in a maintenance environment. Cable belt conveyor experience desirable.
