Illawarra Metallurgical Coal (IMC) produces premium quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent full-time position based at our Dendrobium Coal Processing Plant, Port Kembla in the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will enable the execution of maintenance activities in collaboration with maintenance crews, contracting partners and the production department to the specified plan timelines and outages.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:  

• Supervise a team of Mechanical and Electrical trades including contractors and be accountable for the safe execution of work management plans.
• Develop scopes of work in conjunction with Maintenance Coordinators to ensure work is well designed.
• Provide breakdown management including planning and executing work with both internal and contract resources.
• Assist with the development and execution of shut down activities.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Solid experience working in a heavy industrial environment executing/supervising maintenance tasks.
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence across various levels of the business.
• SAP experience or similar maintenance management system.
• Demonstrated ability to select, develop, coach and mentor employees resulting in improved engagement, diversity and organisational capability.

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Relevant mechanical/electrical trade or engineering qualification
