We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia.  Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.  

About the Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor at Premier Coal, you will be part of a supportive and inclusive team of professionals who work together to optimise operations. We are looking for an industry leading Supervisor to carry out the following duties:

• Planning short and long term work associated with Premier Coal's Fixed Assets
• Supervise a team of highly motivated and skilled maintenance personnel
• Lead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring others 
• Manage and execute maintenance work using efficient equipment servicing strategies to achieve targeted service times and schedule compliance rates 
• Develop and strengthen key internal and external stakeholder relationships 

Skills and Experience

• Previous supervisory and planning experience in fixed mining maintenance
• Trade Certificate or Tertiary Qualifications in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance environment.
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
• Strong ongoing commitment to safety leadership
