About the role

This is a permanent full-time role being offered on a 7:7 roster, FIFO Darwin or Cairns or can be offered as residential on Groote Eylandt.

You will coordinate, schedule, and execute maintenance and projects that include (but not limited to) infrastructure maintenance, housing renovations, water treatment and sewage treatment plants management.

 
Some of your main responsibilities will include: 

• Supervise and Lead a team of Trades and Contracting Companies to achieve business requirements
• Supervise and safely execute planned maintenance of all Non-Process Infrastructure including breakdowns
• Develop weekly plans in cooperation with the planning team and co-ordinator
• Plan and execute project work and improvements through the execution teams or via engagement with contracting partners
• Ensure maintenance activities are conducted safely by competent personnel in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures.
• Plan and allocate labour and equipment resources to effectively execute all work activities

About you
 
To be considered for the role, you will have:

• Relevant and recognised trade or tertiary qualification
• Experience at supervisory level (desirable) with a demonstrated capability to successfully lead a team, influence others and performance manage a team
• Current Drivers Licence
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Non-essential but desirable;
  • builders’ registration or certifier
  • additional project management or leadership qualifications
  • experience with Civil works, waste management or structural engineering
