We are looking for a Maintenance Support officer to join our Maintenance Team at our Dampier Salt operations, to provide effective and efficient support to the Maintenance and Planning team, in a timely and safe manner.
Working a residential 5:2, 4:3, dayshift only roster and reporting to the Senior Maintenance Planner, you will be required to:
- Develop positive relationships with the execution team and customers
- Participating in and recording of meeting minutes for work management meetings
- Run dept compliance reports and update reports board daily/weekly
- Manage maintenance roster
- Update site plan with training or site visits
- Keeper /Admin for ATW, Hot work, WAH permits and LV pre-start sheets
- Creating and maintain purchase orders/ SES
- Assist with the on boarding of contractors
- Manage maintenance team Flights/Accom
- Shutdown prep – meeting minutes, contractor on boarding, work pack prep, Shutdown admin assistance
- Organise stationary/office supplies
- Filing / Archive docs
- Monitor training for employees and updating roster
- Manage equipment inspection records & registers
- Manage/record registered vehicle/plant
- Maintain light vehicle key register
- Manage engine hours spreadsheet
- Occasional admin relief / support
- Relief scheduler / support
- Assist with classified plant administration
- Vision Services (OPSM) - ordering of maintenance team prescription safety glasses
- Personal locks – ordering personal locks for maintenance team
- Create new appointment letters for DSL staff
- Create and follow through completion on MPA change requests
- Daily update of maintenance team prestart safety boards
- Manage and monitor LV service schedules.
- Assist in the creation and output of maintenance work packs
What you will bring
- A commitment to safety of yourself and your team
- Excellent communication skills, highly organised with the ability to work independently while being a part of a larger dynamic maintenance team
- Strong SAP skills required to navigate around purchasing, maintenance, and supply
- Knowledge in the maintenance repair, planning and scheduling of mobile equipment
- Strong customer focus.
- C Class manual licence or higher

- This position is based at our Dampier operation in Dampier. Dampier Salt has three operations located at Dampier, Port Hedland and Lake MacLeod and is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. Produced through a sustainable process of solar evaporation of sea water, we reliably deliver high quality salt essential for making thousands of products used in everyday life. Gypsum is additionally mined and processed at our Lake MacLeod operations.
