About the role
BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is a world-class business, built on the strengths of BHP Billiton and Mitsubishi. BMA is part of the world's largest diversified resources company managing various mines and a port in Central Queensland. Opportunities are currently available for competent and experienced tradespeople to fill positions across our Caval Ridge and Daunia site(s)

Roles will be Fly-in-Fly-Out (From Brisbane or Cairns) & Drive-In-Drive-Out or locally based residents to our BMA’s Mine Sites. The sites that offer FIFO are Caval Ridge and Daunia only.

Reporting to Supervisor – Maintenance, your duties will include:
- Ensuring conformance to our Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
- An unwavering commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance of mining machinery, site infrastructure and support equipment
- Ensuring adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
- Fostering positive & productive working relationships and team culture, focusing on achievement and team engagement in all aspects of work
- Demonstrating safety focus in all work, including completion of Field Leadership activities per individual KPIs
- Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities to drive individual and team performance
About You You believe in the value that being a maintenance professional can bring to an organisation. Successful candidates will possess the following:
- A genuine commitment to safety and must have an Electrical Trade (must hold a QLD electrical licence).
- Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through influence
- Ability to suitably work within planned or breakdown type maintenance environments
- Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience or an ability to quickly upskill in work management software tools (e.g. 1SAP)
- Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
- C Class Drivers Licence mandatory – HR Preferred
