About Nickel West Kwinana
Located 30 kilometres south of the Perth, Nickel West Kwinana produces nickel briquettes, nickel sulphate and nickel powder. While many employees live in Perth, Fremantle and Mandurah, the Kwinana region is a thriving coastal township with three public beaches, excellent schools, modern shopping facilities. As part of our commitment to health and safety Nickel West Kwinana is a smoke free operation.
About the Role
We are currently seeking trade qualified Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers to join our Kwinana team. Working within the mechanical maintenance team you will be carrying out preventive, general maintenance and repair work within the flash furnace area
• Family friendly roster 5: 2 Monday to Friday • Competitive salary on offer plus 12% superannuation and a range of company benefits • This role is based in Kwinana. You must be a resident of Perth or surrounding areas or be willing to relocate to Perth for the duration of your employment
About You
• Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential) • Previous experience working in fixed plant maintenance. • Computer literacy and experience in 1SAP or similar applications • Current full WA Drivers Licence • Flexible, team oriented, approach with proactive communication skills
In this role you will: • Work on rotating machinery, lubrication systems, hydraulics and pneumatics conveying systems • Inspect, diagnose, service and repair of fixed plant equipment • Overhaul and assemble of equipment in the flash furnace area • Utilise computerised maintenance management systems • Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workshops • Undertake training and upskill as required
