About the Role
An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Leading Hand Maintenance fitter to join the team at Maules Creek in the Maintenance Workshop. This position is day-shift only working Monday-Friday.
What You’ll Do
To be successful in the role you will:
- Lead the team of fitters giving guidance and be a proactive leader with a “can do” attitude.
- Complete planned, unplanned and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance to Whitehaven Coals Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
- Ensure that all incidents, accidents and hazards are reported and are followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk.
- Inspect equipment and raise job requests on any defective parts/components found.
- Comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions that are consistent with your contract of employment.
- Step up to supervise during planned shutdowns
What You’ll Bring
- Hold a Certificate III in Mechanical, Auto Electrical, Electrical or Heavy Fabrication (Trade Certificate).
- Possess a current Unencumbered New South Wales “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrate good time management.
- Up to 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment
