Maintenance Planner NPI - Major Maintenance
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue Centre & Bennett St. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday - Friday
Reporting to the NPI Maintenance Planning Superintendent, this newly created Perth based role will be responsible for leading the planning of all longer term (>3 months) and major maintenance activities across Infrastructure Services.
This position will actively champion business improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance activities, create efficiencies for execution and actively reduce cost where appropriate.
The NPI Maintenance Planner – Major Maintenance, will work collaboratively with the site leadership team to champion defect elimination initiatives and transition from a breakdown focused business to a steady state of planned maintenance activities focused on responding to customer needs.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Develop and maintain PM Plans for a longer-term planning horizon of 3 months to 5 years including maintenance methodologies for steel bolted water tanks and Diesel tanks.
- Planning of all major maintenance activities that sit in the longer-term window including project planning and major equipment change outs in the NPI remit.
- Supporting the development of master data within SAP to ensure asset registers are current and costs are allocated to the correct areas
- Develop maintenance tactics that deliver expected asset performance across its lifecycle in accordance with relevant company and statutory requirements.
- Clearly defining PRT’s and BOM’s to support the execution of maintenance tactics efficiently
- Completion of ANCI’s / ATI’s to ensure the business has appropriate inventory of critical spares and consumables to mitigate risk and facilitate execution of maintenance tactics.
- Lead reviews of appropriate warehouse stock levels and critical spares holding
- Developing and managing service agreements with specialist contractors
- Reviewing work management KPI’s across the business and identifying strategies for improvement.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Demonstrated safety leadership.
- SAP experience. The ability to support the development of SAP Master data and maintenance tactics.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills. Having the demonstrated ability to liaise and interact with individuals and groups of varying levels of authority.
- High level of organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple functions simultaneously.
- Ability to create quality Forward Plans (capacity Planning).
- Be able to work autonomously and within a dynamic team environment.
- Understands classified Plant and registration process
- Familiar with Fire Maintenance Planning/Obligations within the village and mining areas.
- Experience with Contract and Contractor Management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and associated cost control systems.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision.
- High level of commitment to the provision of quality services and contributing to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office suite of programs.
- Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing.
- Understanding of risk management.
- Understanding of the Change Management Process.
