About the Position

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified applicant for the position of Major Projects Coordinator to join our team on a FIFO 8/6 basis to Port Hedland.

Reporting to the Major Projects Manager, the successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Develop major scopes of work
  • Work with the Workshop Supervisor to project manage the completion of major scopes of work
  • Liaise with Workshop Supervisor on manning and labour requirements
  • Monitor and report on time frames, job costs and hours
  • Reviews and approves parts listings and variances
  • Liaising with the client on progress of works, time frames and costs
  • Job costing; and
  • Working with Admin for invoice processing

Your Skills & Experience

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrable experience on MS Project;
  • Demonstrable abilities in producing regular reporting through Gantt & S charts;
  • Commitment to safety and maintaining a culture focused on zero harm;
  • Extensive experience working with heavy earth moving equipment;
  • Experience developing large scopes of works;
  • Experience in managing the completion of large scope of work;
  • Effective planning and organising skills with the ability to deliver on simultaneous projects with competing priorities;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Relevant nationally recognised trade qualification;
  • High level attention to detail; and
  • Substantial knowledge and experience utilising computer programs including Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite including excel.
