Major Projects Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Projects Coordinator to join our Port Hedland team working a local Monday to Friday roster.

What your day looks like

• Develop major scopes of work
• Work with the Workshop Supervisor on manning and labour requirements and to project manage the completion of major scopes of work.
• Monitor and report on time frames, job costs and hours
• Review and approve part listings and variances
• Liaise with the client on progress of work, time frames and costs
• Job costing and working with admin for invoice processing

What we’ll need from you

• Must be a Port Hedland resident (mandatory)
• Must have a mechanical background or a trade certificate as a Heavy-Duty Fitter
• Extensive experience developing large scopes of works and working with heavy earth moving equipment frequently used in the mining industry
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all layers of an organisation and with any stakeholder group
• High level organisational and communication skills including effective negotiation with customers and knowledge of legislation to negotiate contracts.
• Knowledge of what drives equipment productivity in the mining environment
• Commercially astute and able to handle complex deals and negotiations
• Able to apply business, financial and technical strategic thinking concepts
• Strong leader with the ability to mentor, coach, and delegate tasks
