Management Accountant

Work Location: Fortescue Centre. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday - Friday / FIFO opportunity 

Fortescue is seeking two Management Accountants to join a fast paced, dynamic working environment in a position that will offer the successful candidate exposure across multiple areas of the Operations Finance function incorporating management accounting, business partnership, and process improvements. 

One position will be full time permanent and the other a 12 month fixed term contract.

This career development opportunity will suit an individual who has recently completed, or is working towards completing, a CA/CPA/CIMA and someone who will enjoy interacting with a broad range of operational and corporate departments. Occasional travel to site will be required.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Financial reporting and analysis to support multiple business units
• Working closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight critical to decision-making
• Responsibility for accuracy, transparency and analysis of departmental costs
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Preparation of monthly journals and reviews
• Streamlining, automation and improvement of core Finance processes and activities

Qualifications and skills required:

• CA/CPA/CIMA recent qualification or currently in progress
• 3+ years management or financial accounting experience
• SAP experience and advanced MS Excel skills will be highly regarded
