About the role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
At Rio Tinto, we are thinking differently about how we plan for and deliver closure outcomes at the end of an asset’s life cycle. Closure is among the most complex aspects of our work across Rio Tinto, including partnering with key stakeholders to:
- Lead, build and embed the capability needed to progress new-era challenges such as closure
- Deliver across multi-stakeholder, multi-disciplinary complexities, ensuring balance between short term priorities and long term strategic outcomes
- Partner with assets prior to cessation of operations to develop and implement closure readiness and execution strategies that enable a smooth transition from operations to closure execution and ultimately achieve closure and post-mining land use outcomes
We have an opportunity for a Manager Closure Asia Pacific (APAC) to join our APAC Closure Delivery team. With a focus on Rio Tinto’s closure pipeline and legacy portfolio in the APAC region, this role will work collaboratively with internal partners and multi-disciplinary teams to scope, plan and deliver closure programs and advise on strategic approaches to mitigate risks and realise opportunities.
