We are looking for a Senior Capability Development Manager to join our Rio Tinto Iron Ore Capability Development team and lead a team of 150 employees that support our Pilbara Mines portfolio which consists of 16 mines. You will lead a team of professional Superintendents, Advisers, and site-based training teams to achieve business objectives.
Reporting to the General Manager, Capability Development, you will oversee the planning and execution of our Capability Development Strategy which is designed to build people capability to support safe production across our operations. The strategy comprises the execution of onboarding, leadership development and technical training activities across our Iron Ore and Dampier Salt operations, and ensuring that the business has a valued, capable, and future ready workforce.
This is a great opportunity to join a vibrant Capability Development Team and partner with operational leaders across multiple sites to build organisational capability and work on strategic initiatives that support the long-term critical skills requirements for our business.
You'll play a key role in translating business strategy into business plans that support the Assets to build critical skills required to safely deliver business objectives.

Where you’ll be working
You will be based at our head office located in Perth Central Park building, working Monday to Friday with regular site travel required. We encourage agile and flexible work arrangements.
