We are looking for a Delivery Manager who will be accountable for one or more products within the Products & Software Development (P&SD) Portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Delivery Manager and working in a collaborative community within our Products & Software Development portfolio, you will be:

  • Responsible for leading and managing one or more product teams towards successful product delivery.
  • Ensuring the product delivery is aligned to the Agile delivery model and take responsibility for monitoring the efficiency of this and managing changes where appropriate.
  • Working directly with the business to prioritise the best value driven outcomes.
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing risks/impediments that might impact the success of the product delivery.
  • Planning, preparing, and running the Programme Increment (PI) planning sessions. This will include creating the PI Roadmap, including dependencies, and managing the risks, issues and actions that come out of the process.
  • Producing product cost estimates based on technical and functional assessments.
  • Planning and implementing product onboarding processes that facilitate the transition of the product from another team or build the backlog of work for a new product.
  • Producing workforce forecasts based on assessed roles required to support the product roadmap.
  • Producing and circulating the product reporting, including progress against the PI roadmap, costs (forecasts vs actuals), service level performance against service level agreements (SLAs), impediments, risks, and issues.

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • Deep experience in Agile Scaling Frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, DAD, etc.) and more than 5 years of experience leading Agile program delivery within the software development and/or application management environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant systems/software development lifecycles.
  • Proficient in principles, methods, techniques, and tools for effectively managing a program of projects and related activities through to the successful achievement of planned business benefits.
  • Understand methods and techniques for structured reviews, including reviews of technical diagrams, test plans, business cases, and any other key deliverables.
  • Understand principles, methods, techniques, and tools for the effective management of Agile projects from initiation through to implementation.
  • Proficient in methods and techniques for reporting progress and financial conformance.
  • Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate them effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiar with methods, tools, and techniques to analyse and optimize processes to improve the quality of a product or service.
