We are looking for a Manager – Ethics & Compliance to provide support/assistance with the implementation/roll out of the Business Integrity Compliance Program throughout the Rio Tinto Group. This role will be accountable for ensuring successful delivery of the elements of the Program throughout Western Australia.At Rio Tinto, we believe integrity, values and good ethical standards are essential to achieving our corporate vision. Our Compliance team play a pivotal role in implementing the Business Integrity Compliance Program across the Group which helps guide all employees while conducting business across the world.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong background in compliance, legal, risk or governance coupled with strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders. Reporting to Manager, Ethics and Compliance (AusWest), you will:
- Support the existing Manager and the wider team as well as play a key role in the Business Integrity Compliance Program implementation and roll out throughout Western Australia.
- Support a wide range of forums, workshops and management meetings to ensure ethics and integrity topics/updates are shared and discussed and elements of the Business Integrity Compliance Program reinforced.
- Work collaboratively with the Ethics and Integrity team, product groups and group functions, contributing to the implementation of the Program. In addition, support the investigations process as needed.
- Undertake regular monitoring and reviews in the integrity and compliance areas to ensure proper operation of the program and standards are adhered to.
- Act as the subject matter expert across business integrity matters, providing guidance, advice and training to the businesses in the region of responsibility.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Strong knowledge or experience around requirements of a business integrity compliance program
- Knowledge or experience on a broad range of compliance subject matter areas, including anti-bribery and corruption, whistleblowing, human rights, privacy, third-party due diligence, ESG
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interface with cross functional and across multiple jurisdictions.
- Previous experience working with multiple stakeholders/management across multiple regions and time-zones.
- Proven experience interfacing with cross functional team and across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical mindset, project management skills and self-motivated with high energy and personal integrity.
