We are looking for a Manager, Field Support to align and manage the team of Logistics and Operations Specialists that provide guidance and support for the entire technical team, enabling to test and sample drill targets in the most efficient way possible.
You will ensure that the on-ground teams have access to the best and most up to date knowledge in each of the 6 key following areas; drilling, field operations, geospatial, earthworks, warehouse and procurement. This team is responsible for ensuring that the operations and generative teams across Australia and South East Asia have access to the knowledge and support that they require to enable effective exploration outcomes.
Reporting to the Exploration Director - Australia and working in a collaborative community, responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Exploration Director, Generative and Technical General Manager and regional Exploration Managers.
Support the regional L&O teams in delivering their outcomes and enabling exchange of resources where appropriate.
Develops and leverages close relationships with key hubs in the RTIO teams.
Include both strategic responsibilities (e.g., planning, influencing) and operational tasks (e.g., executing, reporting).
Empower your team to establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers and contractors in their areas of expertise.
Ensure that your team are managing outcomes related to policies, regulations, or standards in their area of expertise
Have the ability to interact and build positive relationships with external stakeholders such as landholders and traditional owners.
What you will bring:
10-15+ years experience leading Exploration Logistics and Operations teams in multiple different regions across Australia
Clear and demonstrated personal focus on safety management and keeping our in field teams safe and harm-free
Strong experience and competency in at least one of the following specialities: drilling, procurement, earthworks or geospatial
Experience in establishing team systems and processes to better support the planning and execution of the operations
Change Management skills (being able to bring a disparate team along when changes need to be made).
Ability to listen to feedback from direct team and other stakeholders and applying these learnings to improve the teams’ relationships and performance
An ability to build and leverage relationships across multiple levels of a big company hierarchy
You will be expected to undertake significant domestic and international work-related travel.
