Work Location: Perth Office – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people

 

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

 

Lead Fortescue's enterprise-wide Information Management & Systems (IM&S) function, driving best practice information governance, digital project delivery and asset lifecycle information management across major capital projects and operations. This leadership role is responsible for developing strategy, leading multidisciplinary teams, governing critical information management platforms, and enabling innovation through automation, AI and enterprise digital initiatives. Working closely with Engineering, Projects, Operations and Technology teams, you will ensure information integrity, compliance and operational excellence across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead Fortescue's Information Management & Systems function across projects, operations and corporate environments
  • Develop and implement the IM&S strategy aligned with digital delivery, information governance and asset lifecycle objectives
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across Document Control, Records Management, Technical Writing, Asset Tagging and Asset Information Management
  • Provide technical ownership and governance of enterprise platforms including PIMS, ProjectWise, AIMES and iConstruct
  • Drive information governance, metadata standards, lifecycle traceability and information quality across projects and operations
  • Partner with Engineering, Projects, Operations, IT and AI teams to enable digital delivery and enterprise information initiatives
  • Establish governance frameworks, standards, workflows and assurance processes that improve compliance and operational performance
  • Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors, supporting platform evolution, integration and innovation
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve systems, processes, automation and AI-enabled capabilities
  • Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on information management strategy, digital capability and lifecycle information governance.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Management, Information Systems, Records Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Extensive experience in engineering information management, asset information management, document control or digital project delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary information management teams within complex project or operational environments
  • Experience managing enterprise information management platforms such as PIMS, ProjectWise, AIMES or equivalent systems
  • Strong knowledge of information governance, metadata management, records management and lifecycle information practices
  • Experience developing governance frameworks, standards and assurance processes across major projects and operations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work across technical, operational and executive teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards including ISO 19650 and ISO 15489 is desirable
  • Experience within mining, infrastructure, energy or other asset-intensive industries is highly regarded
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, automation, AI enablement or enterprise information governance initiatives will be advantageous.
