Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the "King of the Hills” mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon have secured a 5-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 ltd, the mine will have annual production above 200kozpa, King of the Hills is Australia’s next major Gold Mine which will feature State-of-the-Art Technology 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Surface Mining Manager on an 8:6 Roster to the Project with responsibilities not limited to:
• Ensure operations are executed in line with contract and client requirements
• Effective employee engagement to achieve departmental goals
• Develop, manage and control operating and capital budgets
• Innovation and improvement of systems, processes, and equipment
• Direct, manage and control workforce activities
• Management & coordinating of large scale multi-functional groups and teams
• Build a competent, engaged and performance driven workforce and provide appropriate development opportunities to build internal capability
• Provide technical engineering and management expertise
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience
• Extensive experience in a senior mining leadership role
• Ability to develop and manage budgets
• Strong contract management experience with particular focus on effective delivery to clients
• Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values
