About the role

We are looking for a number of Manager Operational Readiness leaders dedicated to respective Pilbara Mines sites to lead the operational readiness teams across our operations to ensure safe, reliable, operable and maintainable assets are delivered in alignment with RTIO strategic priorities.

Reporting to the respective General Manager Operational Readiness, you will:

  • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities

  • Represent the leadership team in strategic discussions with Studies, Major Projects (D&T) and Sustaining Capital to ensure project direction aligns to near terms and strategic priorities and goals

  • Oversee the project activities at site to ensure robust plans are being implemented and improved to balance both project and operational needs and priorities

  • Manage change (both organisational and asset related) in line with project milestones, ensuring engagement and reducing risk

  • Provide coaching and support to operational and project leaders on opportunities to align or improve process

  • Build business operational readiness and project capability, leveraging broader learning opportunities and practices

  • Apply discipline, governance and quality assurance across all projects

  • Develop strong interfaces and relationships with external partners and stakeholders

  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement skills, you will be the conduit between the project and study teams therefore your relationship building skills are important to succeed in this role

  • Demonstrated experience in Operational Readiness and Operations, Project and Study management

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the project lifecycle, delivery model and interfaces

  • Strong influencing skills and ability to develop and build credibility among peers

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organisation

  • Experience in organisation change, prioritising people and problem solving

  • Demonstrated ability to make quality (both short term and strategic) decisions in tight time frames

  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to drive fact-based problem solving

  • Strong collaborative, communication and interpersonal skills.
