We are looking for a Manager Operations for the Dampier operations within the Dampier Salt organisation. This role has accountability to safely lead the production, quality, and maintenance teams located in Dampier.

You will continually seek to improve safety, processes, cost efficiency and productivity across the Dampier site, while working closely with your peers across the Dampier Salt portfolio, including sites located in Lake MacLeod Carnarvon, Port Hedland, and within our Perth based central functions of maintenance and engineering, and integrated planning. All of our sites have strong connection with our international shipping and marketing teams, making this role unique in the breadth and scope of exposure to an end-to-end business.

Reporting to the General Manager Dampier Salt, and working in a collaborative networked, community, you will be:

  • Leading a team of superintendents in the safe planning, organisation, implementation, and execution of a site business plan connected to the broader Dampier Salt strategy and plan
  • Oversee production, process and maintenance strategies to meet targets
  • Assume the responsibilities and associated duties of a Site Senior Executive
  • Manage financials to ensure budget adherence and productivity improvements
  • Work as a leadership representative in the region for Dampier Salt
  • Work closely with external stakeholders to develop, build and maintain relationships
  • Show commitment to preserve and promote the unique qualities of Dampier Salt

Where you’ll be working

Dampier Salt Limited (DSL) is located in Western Australia and comprises of three solar operations – Dampier, Port Hedland and Lake MacLeod. It is the world’s largest exporter of seaborne salt, with capacity to produce approximately 10.3 million tonnes every year.

At our Lake MacLeod operations, we also mine and export gypsum to customers in Australia and Southeast Asia.
