About the Role
In this newly created position you will provide leadership to the Western Australian Operations Risk Business Partner team, and, critically, support and enable the WAIO and Nickel West Operations to best identify, manage and control their risks for the purpose of delivering business objectives.
Key Responsibilities include • Being a trusted risk advisor to senior operational leaders and providing, techniques, processes and systems to inform risk management and risk-based decisions. • Maintain vision, plan and lead prioritisation and allocation of work and budget for team and provide local inputs to the Operations RBP plan. • Extend thinking towards ‘upside’, monitor external environment and leverage and connect across teams to identify cumulative and concurrent risks and uncover emerging and interdependent risks. • Identify and prioritise risk improvements and to better connect and embed the Risk Framework into business strategy, plans, processes and mindset. • Coordinate and oversee resources and projects to successfully deliver local and global risk improvements, monitoring and acting on relevant performance metrics. • Proactively anticipate and support the team to remove barriers and uplift risk capability and culture • Know our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.
About You
As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated the following: • Experience leading major / global and diverse teams and projects • Extensive experience in risk management and assurance • Strong communication skills with ability to engage and indirectly influence teams and senior stakeholders • Strong analytical skills, judgement and knowledge of relevant risk frameworks and relevant regulatory frameworks • Bachelor’s degree in Commercial discipline or equivalent - Commerce ,Business , Engineering or relevant industry experience
