As Payroll Advisory Manager, APAC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient execution of ESPS processes. You will foster strong connections with stakeholders within and beyond ESPS, delivering exceptional experiences through clear communication, active engagement, and collaboration.
Your focus will be on continuous improvement, process integrity, robust controls, and compliance with legislative requirements. You will report to the Senior Manager, Payroll Advisory and work from our ESPS location in Perth, Australia.
Principal Accountabilities
Lead a team across APAC locations, overseeing delivery partner activities for People Experience (PeX), recruitment, benefits, mobility, and tax.
Build and maintain an engagement governance framework that streamlines stakeholder interactions and enhances the employee/leader experience.
Resolve complex payroll matters promptly, keeping employee and leader experience central, and leveraging ESPS team expertise.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and drive effective improvement initiatives with ESPS teams.
Assess and schedule demand, changes, or initiatives requiring ESPS team support.
Monitor legislative changes and ensure timely updates to payroll processes.
Oversee successful implementation of legislative process changes.
Communicate relevant business, process, and legislative changes to ESPS teams supporting APAC.
Drive simplification, standardization, and automation of payroll processes.
Conduct and review root cause investigations for strategic process issues, implementing corrective actions.
Develop and implement solutions in response to audit recommendations.
What you’ll bring
Subject matter expertise in employee data maintenance and payroll.
Proven experience in process improvement and project management.
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams within a matrix environment.
Change leadership and audit/compliance experience.
Strong stakeholder management and business engagement skills.
Ability to understand and represent the global end-user experience.
Experience in process simplification, standardization, and roll-out.
Excellent leadership and communication skills; flexible working style within a matrix team.
Solid understanding of systems and processes relevant to payroll and their integration points.
Knowledge of process design and improvement approaches in a global organization.
Understanding of data privacy in business processes.
Strategic thinking at both operating model and detailed process levels.
Knowledge of role design, segregation of duties, and internal control requirements.
