Title: Manager Project Management Systems and Improvement

Work location: Perth Based

Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri) with an opportunity for flexibility.

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet rail and marine fleet

Based at our Perth R&D facilities we are presently looking for an experienced Systems Development Manager to lead the implementation and governance of our Project Management, Document Control and Business Improvement processes. highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a track history of leading a team on PM systems creation and improvement

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Project Management and Improvement team to implement and govern the Project Management, Document Control and Business improvement processes.
  • Design and implement Project Management system.
  • Design and implement a Document Control system.
  • Design and implement business improvement systems within the Project Management and Document Control frameworks to identify opportunities for enhanced performance.
  • Provide expertise and support to implement performance initiatives.
  • Provide governance and reporting to ensure robust application of the Green Fleet Project Management and Document Control System.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Extensive experience in implementing project management systems for complex multi discipline projects.
  • Experience in a Senior Leadership Positions.
  • Experience in a start-up environment implementing new process and framework would be highly advantageous
  • Previous experience with business improvement system implementation.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal awareness with ability to work well in a team
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a drive for excellence
  • Results driven, responsible and accountable
  • Skilled in rapid problem solving
