ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on 9-day fortnight roster, DIDO from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Manager Production you will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational performance of mine materials, logistics and production at Worsley Alumina, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of raw materials from mine to refinery while embedding strong governance, cost control and continuous improvement across people, process and systems.

You will oversee end-to-end materials handling, from bauxite to critical inputs like coal, water and caustic, while ensuring alignment with global safety, tailings and sustainability standards. This role also leads the operation of the Overland Belt Conveyor (OBC), ensuring reliable execution, asset longevity, and proactive risk management.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 
•    Leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver material risk and logistics strategies
•    Managing performance of key contractors and critical infrastructure assets
•    Driving strategic governance across water, tailings and waste operations
•    Shaping long-term plans for operational reliability and cost optimisation

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 
•    Influencing senior stakeholders across technical, operational and commercial functions
•    Building and leading inclusive, high-performing teams in complex industrial environments
•    Translating long-term operational goals into clear, actionable execution plans
•    Leading systems-level thinking across materials flow, risk and asset performance

Qualifications for this position are:  
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or equivalent 
•    Minimum 8 years operational related experience within complex and challenging heavy industry environments or similar work environment
•    Experience managing a multifaceted workgroup
•    Capability to engage with and influence multiple or larger groups of internal and external stakeholders
