About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Manager – Production Control Systems to lead and manage critical compute and storage production systems for the company at our global production sites.

As the Manager of the production systems team, you will build, manage, and lead the high performing production control systems team to ensure maximum uptime and performance of all compute and storage systems. You will be responsible for overseeing production systems environment, ensuring maximum uptime and performance and providing technical leadership and direction to the production control systems team.

Reporting to the Compute/Storage – Platforms Lead, and working in a collaborative and supportive environment within our global Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team, you will:

  • Establish an effective partner landscape to scale the operating model
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the production control systems environment, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security, availability, and reliability of the production control systems environment
  • Effectively manage critical incidents and participate in incident response and root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of problems and prevent their recurrence
  • Work closely with other IT teams and business units to ensure that the production control systems environment meets the needs of our product groups
  • Continually monitor and analyze the performance of the production control systems environment, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades as necessary
  • Manage and report on the budget for the production control systems team, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy and security regulations

What you’ll bring

  • Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • A relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or high levels of relevant experience
  • Several years managing production control systems in a large, complex organization
  • Strong technical skills and experience with compute and storage systems, including virtualization, servers, storage area networks, and backup and recovery, automation
  • Experience managing and leading technical teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
