About the Role

We currently have an exciting, Perth-based opportunity for an experienced Manager Study within our WA Major Projects group.

Leading an engaged and highly-capable investment team, you will apply your extensive problem solving, technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement and value optimisation experience and skills to drive business value and align stakeholders.

Reporting to the Manager Project, you will lead a major investment through Selection and Definition phases, optimising the preferred alternative’s technical, financial and economic dimensions to deliver superior safety, scope, cost and quality outcomes.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Communicate with senior stakeholders in a clear, concise and meaningful way
  • Identify and deliver value optimisation initiatives while integrating stakeholder requirements
  • Lead the investment in accordance with Our Requirements and the Minerals Australia Projects Internal Standard
  • Integrate internal and external teams to support and drive progress in line with project targets
  • Ensure project risks are identified and actively managed throughout project phases

About You

You may have a technical degree or qualification (e.g. STEM), preferably combined with post-graduate study in a related business, finance and/or project management discipline. With previous experience in a senior role, you will have built strong analytical and communication skills as well as the ability to distil your analysis into a broader investment and operational direction.

The successful applicant will ideally have proven experience leading large, brownfield projects and/or commercial developments within dynamic, multi-faceted environments. You will possess highly developed problem solving skills and business communication business skills.

You will have divergent and convergent thinking skills, a strong understanding of business value and be adept at stakeholder management, utilising data and communication style to influence effectively at senior level. Your ability to manage multiple levels of complexity and ambiguity will also be a key strength in this role.

Location

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower – ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.

Occasional site travel will be required.
