Manager Quality Assurance

Work location: Perth, WA

Roster: Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Manager Project Governance and Assurance, you will lead, champion and provide strategic guidance on the Quality Process to all FFI Project and functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management framework in accordance with Project/Corporate requirements.
  • Monitor and report to Executive, Projects and other stakeholders on the health and status of Quality across the portfolio
  • Development of various executive level papers and presentations
  • Monitor progress to ensure the project execution is on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and any change management processes are well understood and followed. 
  • Identification, review and approval of Contractor and Supplier Quality Deliverables.
  • Facilitate Project inductions and training in quality systems and processes to new and existing staff.
  • Ensure Project understanding and implementation of quality systems & processes.
  • Ensure that a Project Audit Schedules are in place and ensure that all the requirements of the quality programme and project quality plan are implemented and maintained.
  • Plan & conduct Project Quality Audits and reporting in accordance with Project and Business Unit requirements and ensure corrective actions are implemented. 
  • Provide support for Quality within all functions throughout the Project, promoting the importance of Quality for project performance.
  • Build & maintain a healthy working relationship with all Project and Business Unit management.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with both internal and external client representatives. 
  • Ensure all client requirements are met or exceeded where applicable.
  • Actively participate in communication forums with the client and/or supplier / subcontractor representatives.
  • Provide leadership, direction, guidance, and support to assigned work team.
  • Continually monitor work team, promoting learning and development opportunities in support of current and future project requirements and their own career development opportunities.
  • Promote a positive Quality culture and acceptance of the system amongst all Project activity and staff.
  • Ensure full compliance with FFI’s quality, health, safety and environment policies and procedures throughout all aspects of the operations to embed a Zero Harm safety culture. 

Qualifications and skills required:

  • University degree in Engineering or significant construction Quality Management Experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a role of Quality Management 
  • Experience providing quality management throughout design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start up.
  • Experience with risk based Quality assessment.
  • Experience working with OEM providers. 
  • High level written skills with excellent attention to detail. 
  • High level of passion for renewable energy.
