Newcrest

Posted on:  1st Sep 2022

Newcrest is one of the world's largest gold mining companies. As a global business, we aim to create a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported to bring their whole unique self to work. At Newcrest, we hold core values of caring about people, working together, and achieving a high-performance culture through innovation and problem solving.

Our Respect@Work program is designed to strengthen our approach to preventing and eliminating unacceptable behaviours that do not align with our core values. As we continue on this important journey, we've created the position of Manager Respect@Work at our Telfer Mine operation in Western Australia.

Reporting to Telfer’s General Manager, this site-based role will operationalise our Respect@Work Program by delivering and/or co-designing culturally appropriate interventions that are equally empowering and preventative.

In practise, that means ensuring that all our people, particularly those identified as more at-risk, feel safe, seen, heard and valued. Reinforcing alignment to our values, practices and behaviours will enable us to support our people who are seeking to know and do better and reject those who don’t.

At a day-to-day level, this will see you working closely with our Human Resources, Training, Health and Safety and Stakeholder/Community Relations teams. Moreover, you'll have the ability to draw on a global network of peers along with support from our Corporate Centres of Excellence.

This is an important step in our Respect@Work journey and you can help ensure that there is no place for any behaviours that cause people physical or psychological harm at Newcrest. Everyone has the right to be and feel safe at work, and to always be treated with dignity and respect.

This opportunity is being offered on a Fly-in / fly-out commute basis to our Telfer Mine. It is expected that as-required travel to our Perth corporate office and our Havieron mine development project will also form part of the role.

If you share our values and are passionate about leading transformation programs focussed on safe and respectful behaviour that significantly improve workplace equality and minimise harm, we encourage you to submit your application online and start a conversation with us about how you could make a meaningful difference in this role.
