The Opportunity – Permanent, Full Time Position
The Manager Technology Risk and Stewardship leads a team accountable for identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of risks across the Technology Function.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Technology Advisory & Planning, key role accountabilities include:
· Building and maintaining a safe and inclusive workplace with a strong culture of care and accountability
· Lead the Function’s Risk Management System in line with Group standards, including ongoing improvement in collaboration with the Technology and Group Risk and Assurance Teams
· Ensure risk and control owners receive specialist, independent and technically capable risk and stewardship support
· Oversee all stewardship and assurance activities (planning, scoping, 2nd line execution and reporting)
· Review risk assessments and business continuity plans for material risks to ensure compliance with Group policy
· Facilitate conversations with Leadership Teams on the management of risks, including leading Technology Risk and Audit Committee meetings
· Monitor the risk environment to identify new risks and/or changes to existing risks, as well as opportunities to create value for the South32 Group
About You
You will be required to have the following:
· An overriding commitment to health, safety, and environmental responsibility
· Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment
· Demonstrated capability in current risk management / assurance practices
· Demonstrated capability in risk reporting to executive management
· Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management and influencing
· Experience in the resources industry preferred but not necessary, operational level experience favourable
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering, Finance or a relevant technical (ie: Risk Management) discipline
· Risk Management (CPRM) or equivalent professional qualification
