As a key member of the Global Project Services and Assurance team, you are primarily responsible for the provision of Risk Management and Leadership to proactively support and inform decision making, coaching and facilitation of in country and project teams. The key focus area is the development and implementation of the Risk Management framework to ensure business and project integration to meet project development deliverables and the uncertainty management process, across the project phases and gating requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, champion and provide strategic guidance on the Project Uncertainty Management Process within the risk team, and amongst Country and Project teams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Risk Management framework in accordance with Project/Corporate requirements.
- Work with Country and Project teams to ensure that risk registers capture key study/execution risks and corresponding actions
- Ensure regular scheduled risk activities to proactively meet the Project’s deliverables to support project phase, gate and governance (PIC, PEG) requirements.
- Ensure regular scheduled risk activities to proactively meet Project’s risk and reporting deliverables and ensure risks/risk summaries are represented at Alignment or other relevant meetings.
- Monitor and report to Country, Projects and other stakeholders on the health and status of the Risk Management process as indicated by CGR by risk and action owners.
- Proactively manage the risk portfolio so that issues are escalated and addressed early
- Provide Assurance and executive risk summaries in the monthly risk reporting.
- Champion the Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (CSRA) implementation and provide expert guidance on the CSRA process during study phases.
- Ensure the CGR platform is maintained, compliant and accurate to support monthly reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Degree qualification or equivalent risk management exposure in a project discipline. RMIA Certification would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role preferably in the resources and renewable energy.
- At least 15+ years’ experience of supporting mega projects in senior management and delivery roles, preferably in the resources and renewable energy sector and involved in complex construction and engineering delivery.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and funding knowledge gained through successful project delivery.
- Can demonstrate mega project experience as a team leader where they delivered concept, scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, execution, and operational readiness to complete a successful project.
- Demonstrated high level of knowledge and practical experience regarding successfully delivering strategic risk.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high levels of assurance and governance.
- Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with other like-minded team members and adjacent projects.
- Able to adapt to multidisciplinary requirements, communicate with various stakeholders across an international business operating continuously in all time zones.
- Strong team skills and willingness to travel for short and long periods.
