We are looking for a Manager, Fixed Plant Shutdowns to join our new Shutdown leadership team to build and lead the shutdown teams to success.
As an experienced Shutdown leader, this is a great opportunity to build and lead large multi-disciplined Shutdown maintenance teams. We invite you to be part of our ongoing journey to take efficiency and safety to the next level.
Reporting to the General Manager, Shutdowns and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will be providing authentic leadership for your team whilst demonstrating the Rio Tinto values of care, courage, and curiosity.

Your ability to focus on performance will be integral as you:
Develop a performance-based culture aligned with our values of care, courage, and curiosity, driving exemplary safety behaviors and stable operating outcomes.
Manage the end-to-end fixed plant shutdown cycle, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of shutdowns.
Schedule and execute Fixed Plant Shutdowns across all our Pilbara Mine Sites.
Deploy and develop Fixed Plant Shutdown Maintenance teams and individuals.
Apply shutdown management processes within the context of the asset management strategy.
Assess and manage risks throughout the asset lifecycle, while reviewing and auditing compliance
You’ll build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across our operational teams and functional support teams while externally, you'll work with our original equipment manufacturers and Shutdown Contractors.

Your extensive Shutdown execution and leadership to build and lead high performing Fixed Plant Shutdown Maintenance teams
Your exceptional stakeholder management skills are required, you will have held experience in partnership and collaboration across multi-disciplinary groups within a matrix organisation
Courage to challenge operating conditions and your focus on production and performance will be required to succeed in this role, as a Manager Fixed Plant Shutdowns it is expected that you safely and economically deliver shutdown schedules
