As our Manager Sourcing Hub, you will add value by leading with Rio Tinto’s sourcing methodology to deliver safe, efficient and effective best total value outcomes whilst also leading a technical team of subject matter experts. You will be joining an experienced Procurement team to deliver on an exciting opportunity to manage a Centre of Excellence for Sourcing.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Travel & Corporate Services, Global Procurement and working in a challenging and exciting environment within Strategic Sourcing, you will:
- Collaborate with global key stakeholders to:
- complete procurement risk assessments
- develop and execute sourcing strategies
- develop and release tender packages
- evaluate supplier proposals
- develop and execute negotiation plans
- prepare contractual documentation
- Manage award approvals and contract execution process
- Form part of a global team supporting multiple and varied spend portfolios including Corporate Services, Energy & Explosives, Property & Facilities Management, Information Systems & Technology, Travel & Expenses
- Work closely with other Procurement team members, both globally and within regions, to align sourcing requirements and outcomes with business needs
What you’ll bring
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and established Procurement professional with excellent commercial acumen, strong lead negotiator skills, effective global stakeholder engagement with an understanding of change management. You are proactive, self-motivated and can demonstrate a solid and credible sourcing background leading large (up to US$1bn), complex global projects whilst leading a technical team of procurement experts.
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Demonstrated knowledge of source-to-contract core Procurement process
- Experience in applying a risk-based management approach, with a strong safety focus
- Demonstrated tendering, negotiation and business case development expertise
- Ability to lead large complex negotiations and change discussions
- Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and interpretation
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with global stakeholders at all levels.
