We are looking for a Manager – Technical, for the Winu Project which is nearing the end of study phase looking towards development.  You will partner with various stakeholders across the project as well as the broader Copper Technical business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team and be key to the success of a new start up mine in WA.

Reporting to the Head of Technical - Copper, and working directly as part of the Winu Project leadership team, your responsibilities will include

  • Accountability for all technical aspects of geology, hydrogeology, geotechnical, mine design, mine planning, geometallurgy and processing for the Winu project

  • Delivery of all technical input through study phases, and into future build and operate phases

  • Driving a strong focus on risk mitigation & management together with value opportunity development

  • Leadership of a diverse, multidisciplinary technical project team that includes internal and external resources

  • Use of your expertise in mining project design, operations, and/or commissioning to enable the successful delivery of the technical aspects of a start-up mine.

  • Ability to identify opportunities, risks and issues and find solutions to problems that arise.

  • Strong experience in mine design, operations, and/or commissioning.

  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem solving skills in being the voice of technical

  • Tertiary qualified in a technical discipline (such as mining engineering, process engineering, geoscience)

  • 10+ years experience.
