About Value Engineering

BHP’s Value Engineering (VE) is a newly formed team, which is the coming together of a dedicated, innovative group focused on maximising value-adding opportunities across BHP by leveraging skills in the Technical Function to deliver incremental, step change and innovative solutions.

About the Role

As a Manager Value Analytics, your purpose is to provide leadership to teams focused on applying advanced analytics techniques to identify options to maximise BHP value chains performance.

Reporting to Head of Value Engineering, your responsibilities include:  

  • Manage and design the delivery of complex analytics projects, building relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to further unlock value for BHP Asset through data analytics projects.
  • Engage the capabilities of the wider Value Engineering organisation to deliver end to end solutions to uplift performance across the BHP value chains.

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated project and/or program management experience, with the ability to inspire collaboration and innovation in diverse project teams (both virtually and in person) and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate and present data-driven business insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading business opportunity pursuits, developing business cases, and building stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems by working with large and complex datasets, designing solutions to solve business problems using data, and developing and documenting data solutions and methods.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and data modelling skills, with proficiency in hands-on data analysis, data preparation, and/or data visualisation and knowledge of tools and techniques for processing data).
  • Experience in Engineering consulting and/or management consulting will be regarded.
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Technology or relevant.

Location and Roster

This role can be base in our BHP corporate office in Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide. You will be working on Monday-Friday while flexible work is also offered.
