About the Role
BHP’s Value Engineering group was established to identify, maximise and implement value-adding capability and performance improvement opportunities across the value chain of BHP’s assets.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of professionals focused on deploying best-in-class thinking to maximise the impact across BHP’s capital projects portfolios and project delivery, using engineering expertise and drawing on the knowledge of operations and business experts.
Your key responsibilities in this role would be:
- Coordinate the execution and delivery of Capital Excellence and Capital Portfolio Optimisation initiatives
- Provide direction to teams working on maximising value of BHP’s Capital Projects Portfolios by applying rigorous and holistic methodologies combined with analytics and Agile techniques
- Develop strategic partnerships with operations and stakeholders to ensure that the relevant business problems are identified, defined and structured - including context, success measures, and potential challenges
This role can be in either Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide corporate BHP offices. Working a Monday to Friday roster, we also offer flexible working arrangements.
About You
- Have extensive and successful experience working on CapEx projects in project management senior roles.
- Proven experience leading Capital Excellence and Capital Portfolio Optimisation initiatives in heavy industries.
- Proven field-base experience working on projects in mining, energy or infrastructure industries.
- Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering related discipline.
- Possess excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage and influence a wide range of key stakeholders.
- As a proven leader, you will have a talent for bringing together teams focused on common goals and the ability to develop their technical capabilities.
