Manager Wind Market and Analytics

Work location:  Flexible.  Perth or United States (Eastern Time Zone) preferred

Roster: Monday to Friday

Supporting the General Manager of Technical Wind, this will be a key member of the team within the broader FFI Green Industry group.  This position will establish market economic models, competitive assessments, and strategy options for the FFI Technical Wind team and lead any future hires in the analytic, competitive assessment, or marketing functions who join the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the identification, analysis and interpretation of economic and marketing information.
  • Identify the most profitable and feasible products, markets, industry sectors to target
  • Support economic and community impact analysis of product decisions and manufacturing localization options.
  • In conjunction with corporate evaluate macroeconomic country analysis, policies, political context, supply and demand, infrastructure access and applicable tariffs, product netback price estimates and forecasts, risk and decision analysis.
  • Work with the team assistant to ensure modelling, presentations and analysis support is provided to the marketing teams and other teams for international business trips and closely manage team requirements.
  • Mentor and develop both leadership and analytical core competencies in the team members.
  • Create management presentations and speeches.
  • Align and communicate closely with the finance and planning groups who are the project economic model owners.
  • Act as a point of integration across the Wind Technologies portfolios

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics or related field
  • Experience with Wind and/or Electricity markets
  • Previous experience within an energy infrastructure company is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and must be able to excel in a cooperative and collaborative team environment
