Manufacturing Draftsperson
Work Location: Perth Airport
Roster: Monday to Friday
FFI our presently seeking a Draftsperson to join our fast paced and high performing team to draft PDs, P&IDs, electrical single line diagrams, and aid the mechanical designers to design prototype equipment from concept through to fabrication and testing. This is a unique opportunity which doesn’t normally present for draftees as you will get to see your designs come to life.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Produce and maintain technical and engineering drawings using A360 products and MS Viso
- Develop drawing sets for the electrical and mechanical teams which includes new systems and as builds
- Work cohesively with the design and engineering team to ensure designs are in line with requirements
- Management of drawings, design data, and material specifications as well as prototype cost tracking
- Ensure products and processes comply with safety and quality standards
Qualifications and skills required:
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a draftsperson
- Experience in component design for discrete systems found in robotics, underwater ROVs, UAV’s, aerospace or in the automotive or mobility sectors
- Inventor and Autocad experience preferred
- Experience in Navisworks 3D would be advantageous
- Experience with CAM software and prototyping an asset
- Demonstrated experience using 3D design software for creating detailed designs used in fabrication
- Self-motivator who can work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively
