Manufacturing Maintenance Planner and Scheduler
Work Location: Gladstone, QLD
Roster: Monday to Friday
The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will provide planning and scheduling support to the maintenance and operations team to achieve minimum production line down times, highly effective asset management and with efficient use of resources and budget.
Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, Gladstone Electrolyser Facility, you will play a pivotal role in planning and scheduling (maintenance activities) while working along side a dynamic teams of maintenance techs, reliability engineers, operational staff and management.
As key resource for planning and scheduling, you will participate, contribute and continuously improve the system while ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Prepare weekly work schedules for internal maintenance techs and also for external contracting companies
- Create, maintain, and monitor maintenance request, work orders and emergency repairs
- Ensure accurate data entry and data integrity of the SAP CMMS system
- Materials management and ensuring schedules are work ready and all required resources are available
- Place purchase requestions to ensure materials are available on hand for planned activities
- Maintain critical inventory levels of spare parts as per planned inventory schedules
- Responsibility for planning and scheduling of day to day and scheduled + breakdown maintenance activities
- Planning and scheduling coverage to include 3 shifts and where needed weekend work scheduling to ensure optimal factory operations
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure the plant remains reliable, with an ongoing focus on consistent improvement
- Plan and review activities performed by external contracting persons / companies
- Ensure contractor and maintenance staff competence is reviewed prior to scheduling
- Utilize predictive analytics of MES and or other data from all parts of the business to identify systemic risks, failures and non-conformances within the businesses. Ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken, and solutions are managed to closure
- Ensure own staff and contracting staff / companies perform and execute work as per the requirements and are in compliance with all FFI’s policies and procedures
- Ensure full statutory and safety compliance for mechanical and electrical equipment
Qualifications and skills required:
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in manufacturing or high-volume production facility (desired)
- Maintenance Planning experience is essential; Experience in SAP functionality is essential
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving and project management skills
- Microsoft Office suite skills, (project, excel, outlook etc.)
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- A high level of attention to detail
- Master data experience (desirable)
