Manufacturing Process Engineer
Work Location: Perth Airport
Roster: Monday to Friday
Working closely with the Package Lead, this process engineer will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Operations team to deliver projects related to renewal energy products and technology, working across support design, risk analysis and onsite installation and commissioning.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Process engineering role providing process technology solutions, expert advice and technical support on design and operation of process systems and manufacturing production equipment
- Lead the design, sizing and selection of equipment including piping and pressure vessels, cooling systems and gas handling systems
- Develop the process design, simulation, heat and mass balance, process flow diagrams and any required process studies to be undertaken
- Develop the basis for process systems and manufacturing production equipment, including specifications and data sheets
- Communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, lead contract engineering program, and engage equipment and engineering specialist providers as required
- Assisting in building and interpreting detailed technical and economic models with the data analytics team
Qualifications and skills required:
- Bachelor’s degree of Engineering, Chemistry, Process or Mechanical or equivalent study
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in designing gas and liquid systems
- Industry experience in either energy power generation, industrial chemical processing, oil and gas processing, mineral processing, water treatment or projects involving renewable energy would be highly advantageous
- Experienced in cooling systems, high pressure piping, gas drying and gas separation
- Experience running process simulations, heat and mass balances, equipment sizing and specifications, and developing PFDs and P&IDs
- Experience in detail design reviews and evaluations including technical safety reviews of design, HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, risk analysis
- Experience in Hydrogen production industry would be advantageous
- Strong data management and manipulation skills, with excellent computer literacy skills
- Exposure to detailed design, construction and commissioning would be advantageous
- Experience working with CAD or 3D modelling
