Manufacturing Production Technician - Warehouse
Work location: Gladstone, QLD
Roster: Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with implementation of tools and consumables within stores
- Recording of received goods and management of Materials
- Organising freight to move supplies or equipment as required
- Daily communication with internal and external stakeholders
- SAP System - Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
- Report any discrepancies
- Pick, pack, restrain and loading of incoming and outgoing goods
- Loading and unloading of trucks and couriers
- Labelling goods and updating bin locations as required for inventory management systems
- Perform regular stocktakes as required
- Operate materials handling equipment, such as Electric Forklifts, Hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trolleys to move goods within Warehouse Facility
- Build and relocate shelves and racking as required
- Operate sweeper and general housekeeping activities
- Assist with production activities if needed, like assembly and de-assembly of equipment
- Ensuring clean housekeeping and safety within a working environment
- Proactive Self-Starter, showing initiative
- Everyday housekeeping tasks such as always keeping work area and facility clean and tidy
- Assist with implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards providing a safe working environment, and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance
- Reporting on unsafe or non-complying activities to supervisor
- Experience or willing to learn risk assessment tools and procedures and apply in all tasks
Qualifications and skills required:
- Minimum of year 12 education with additional vocational or technical training in manufacturing field
- 3+ years’ experience in a warehousing, storage and material handling, logistics or inventory control role
- Vehicle Licence required
- High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence
- Experience with materials handling equipment, such as Electric Forklifts
- Basic Rigging and Load Restraint (Not essential as training will be provided)
- Previous experience in implementing and daily use of Materials Management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled at multi-tasking and time management.
- Understanding of entire end to end process for Supply Chain
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods documentation, shipping, handling, and storage requirements
- Knowledge of COR (Chain of Responsibility)
- SAP MM experience desirable
- Knowledge of Excel
