- Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 4D/3R – Residential in Port Hedland. Housing provided.
The Supervisor Marine Operations is responsible to ensure that all statutory requirements and company policies and procedures applicable to shipping & marine operations are implemented, monitored, complied with. To be eligible for consideration you will need to have the relevant marine qualifications, preferred AMSA Class 1 Master Mariner Certificate of Competence or demonstrate experience in Terminal Bulk cargo loading operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of Load Masters to facilitate Terminal loading operations- ship shore interface for safe loading operations
- Lead a team of schedulers for day to day ship scheduling to achieve the business plan and market guidance
- Maintain key stakeholder relationships with internal supply chain departments and external service providers
- Ensure compliance to vessel movement guidelines
- Ensure ship-loading is executed safely and to the daily plan
Qualification and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in export terminal bulk carrier loading operations
- Exceptional organisational skills and flexibility to overcome changes at short notice
- Understanding and overseeing the Vessel Compliance / Ship Safety Management systems
- Sound knowledge of Maritime regulations
