Marine/Towage Contract Coordinator
Work Location: Port Hedland
Roster: 4D/3R – Residential (FIFO ex Perth considered)
Reporting to the Production Scheduling Superintendent, you will ensure that towage services are delivered with high levels of professionalism and that all towage performance objectives are achieved every day. You will identify opportunities to improve performance and optimise the towage activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assurance function that ensures Towage Licence KPI’s are always achieved
- Assurance function that ensures vessel maintenance plans are delivered with high levels of compliance
- Development and implementation of tug docking program
- Assurance function that ensures vessel condition monitoring program is implemented and asset health is priority with our towage contractor
- Governance of vessel class, regulatory and statutory compliance.
- Oversight of contract management deliverables
- Development and implementation of annual improvement plan to continually optimise the towage operation
- Act as first point of escalation to manage operational towage constraint in close collaboration with shipping and towage schedulers
- Acts as owner’s representative for towage infrastructure maintenance requirements
- Assist with incident and accident reviews & investigations
- As required, support Port Operations Manager and Production Scheduling Superintendent as owner’s representative for towage matters
Qualifications and skills required:
- A marine or other engineering qualification
- Ability to take initiative and identify risks and opportunities
- Excellent organisational, communicational and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
