Marketing Scheduling Officer

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday – Friday

Reporting to the Group Manager Scheduling and Operations, the Marketing Scheduling Officer’s primary role is to incorporate sales data and forecast into scheduling models and provide the business a product commitment outlook for the next one to three months. You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure cargo delivery meets targets, plans and agreements. This role will also assist Non-China Sales Team to manage their customers quarterly shipments scheduling, as well as sales contract execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Incorporate customer requests and shipping plans, ensure monthly/weekly/daily shipping plans align with commitment and agreement.
  • Draft/update 3M allocation plan & monthly/weekly/daily shipping plans in a timely manner.
  • Effectively action change requests from supply chain.
  • Ensure ALF system Marketing input fields correct and up to date
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to minimize shipping gap.
  • Ensure smooth contract execution including but not limited to vessel nomination, discharge port nomination, LOI for discharging, disport certificate collection, quality dispute if any, laytime calculation, freight differential confirmation etc.
  • Collect payment on time as per contractual timeline.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing is desirable
  • Previous experience in back office, sales contract execution, customer engagement, shipping operation and scheduling
  • Have sound knowledge in bulk commodities, international trading, shipping, Incoterm
  • Have demonstrated collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and problem solve
