Material Coordinator

Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: 8 days on and 6 days off, 10-hour shifts 

Warehousing & Logistics are currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Material Coordinator.

Reporting to the Supervisor Supply, the purpose of the role is to provide direct day-to-day warehouse operational support, by delivering effective & efficient warehousing & distributions to all operational sites whilst maintaining a zero-harm environment.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Ensure full compliance to all site safety requirements & complete all duties in a safe manner, in line with Fortescue policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Proactively engage and assist customers as identified/required, providing superior customer service, and maintaining professional relationships with customers, key stakeholders & other team members to a high standard
  • Pick, staging and consolidating weekly and shut revisions
  • Completion of material availability reports through ZMMSTOCK for all maintenance functions across all operational sites: Fixed Plant, Mobile Maintenance, Non-Processing Infrastructure, Utilities and PowerStation
  • Reporting of material availability to Fixed Plant, Mobile Maintenance, Non-Processing Infrastructure, Utilities and PowerStation planning teams on a weekly basis
  • Proactive daily engagement and attendance to all meetings with key stakeholders
  • Proactive engagement with Expediting and Purchasing teams as required for accurate material tracking
  • Provide assistance in processing of rotables within a 24-hour period from arrival into the Perth warehouse
  • Maintain and troubleshoot outstanding rotable report on a weekly basis eliminating all risks to the business
  • Identifying process improvement efficiencies and assist with the implementation of newly agreed processes
  • Lead, guide and motivate the team through daily tasks with continuous training and direction
  • Completion and coordination of project work as required
  • Supporting site freight movements on rotational call roster

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Positive attitude & willingness to take on new challenges
  • Understanding of the entire Supply Chain process (Vendor – Site)
  • LF High Risk Licence
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels
  • Ability to work autonomously in a team environment
