Material Logistics Officer

Work Location: Hedland - Anderson Point - Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 8D/6R – Port Hedland Residential

Reporting to the Shutdown Logistics Supervisor, this role will be part of a team responsible for managing all aspects of material logistics to ensure plant maintenance can be carried out to maintain safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Inspection of consolidated materials prior to executing planned work
• Setting up staging and kitting areas for materials required for critical shutdown works
• Provide planning support to increase material efficiencies and cost savings 
• Management of Rotables in accordance with Fortescue process 
• Manage shutdown maintenance service kits, MSK’s
• Loading and unloading of materials and shutdown equipment
• Provide support during breakdowns by ensuring efficient supply of materials to site
• Returning unused parts to the site warehouse in accordance with Fortescue process
• Provide support during Shutdowns by resolving critical material and logistical issues 
• Reconcile post shut materials for rescheduled works
• Provide vendor support during shutdown execution 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Solid understanding of supply chain, material tracking and material management processes
• Experience using SAP at a material management level is desirable
• Computer literacy including experience Microsoft programmes
• Well-developed verbal & written communication skills
• HR Driver’s License is essential
• Telehandler/Forklift high risk license
