About the Role
The Projects Materials Principal responsibilities will include:
- Support the Delivery and Operational readiness leads on all material related items
- Provide the interface between BHP and Vendors regarding the end to end management of Material’s for RTP (Project materials for construction, commissioning spares and Operational Readiness first fill spares)
- Track and monitor key interface activities (materials) for all work streams in P6
- Prepare a weekly report for RTP on the status of materials
- Establish and regular meeting candance with all vendors
- Manage controls and actions in ARM related to material management – risk identification and containment plans
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain practices within BHP and Vendors
- Understand and advise trending supply chain issues to the leadership team
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
About You
- A good working knowledge of Supply Chain fundamentals
- Good communication skills will all levels of the business organisation
- The ability to ‘get things done’ with a keen eye for attention to detail
- The ability to ‘flex’ within the wider major project team environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaborative in a team environment; and
- Microsoft Office suite experience – Including strong knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Preferable knowledge of Rail
