Mechanical Crushing Coordinator
Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
The Crushing Coordinator reports directly to the OPF Superintendent Mechanical Maintenance and will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and improving primary/secondary crushing equipment to safely deliver world class availability and reliability. This will also include but not limited to managing plant maintenance functions in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, enabling the Iron Bridge Operation to meet the present and future needs of operational requirements, and managing the plant maintenance activities with a continuous improvement and reliability philosophy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with strong problem-solving processes
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics and have a high level of attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong precision fitting skills, understanding of specifications and tolerances, precision measuring, precision assembly, with a strong work management background, heavily focused in fixed plant maintenance and shutdowns
- Leadership experience in a supervisor position or higher
- Understanding of controls systems and SCADA software
- Understanding of commercial finance and budgeting
Qualifications and Experience:
- MEM30205 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitter
- MEM30305 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
- Cert 4 Hydraulics
- Leadership experience in a supervisor position or higher
